Community Networking

The goal of Community Networking is skill advancement to promote independence and self-sufficiency both at home or in the community. Skill advancement activities can include:

  • Cooking
  • Shopping
  • Laundry
  • Budgeting
  • Paying bills

This service is designed for staff to coach participant in learning how to do specific tasks.

Individualized Skills Development

The goal of Individualized Skill Development (ISD) is to foster relationships between the individual and the larger community through engagement in community activities, such as:

  • Social clubs
  • Recreation activities
  • Volunteering

Community Integration can be facilitated individually or in a group setting (2-4 participants)

Personal Assistance

The goal of Personal Assistance (PCA) is to support in completing activities of daily living such as:

  • Meal preparation and feeding
  • Shopping
  • Laundry
  • Monitoring individual for safety
  • Bathing and toileting support

Staff will only complete tasks that specifically benefit the participant, not the family or other housemates. 24-hour, awake staffing support is available for this service based on service need.

Day Program

The goal of Day Program is skill development and retain the self-help, socialization, and adaptive skills needed to be successful in the community. Skill develop areas include:

  • Etiquette in public settings
  • Counting and money recognition
  • Activities of daily living (cooking, cleaning, home maintenance)
  • Personal safety skills

Day Program participants are divided into groups of 3-4 individuals supported by 1-2 staff members. Services are provided through both on-site and community-based activities for skill development.
